What success looks like to ICO

Iowa Corn Opportunities is currently accepting proposals and evaluating investment opportunities.

Once funding decisions are made, ICO will measure the success of our investments by measuring whether the investment:

• Supports new uses and new products from corn
• Supports new business and wealth creations for the corn industry
• Generates a positive return
• Provides corn growers with new investment opportunities

As ICO makes investments, we will outline them here, detail their objectives and measure their effectiveness against the criteria for success listed above.

On May 28th Iowa Corn Opportunities, LLC closed an investment in Cellencor. Cellencor uses industrial microwave systems to dry ethanol plant coproducts. The microwave process enhances the value of ethanol production co-products, significantly reduces process energy consumption and dramatically reduces an ethanol plant’s carbon footprint by replacing expensive natural gas and steam tube dyers with highly efficient, reliable industrial microwave systems.
