DICK GALLAGHER, Board Manager
Dick Gallagher, grows corn and soybeans on a farm near Washington in Washington County. He has been farming for 36 years.
Dick currently serves as chair of the Iowa Corn Promotion Board.
His past activities include service as president of the Washington County Farm Bureau, president of the Iowa Soybean Association, and vice president of the American Soybean Association as well as the ROW Advisory Team A with the U.S. Grains Council (the marketing arm for international corn), and the export and business development committees with Iowa Corn.
Gallagher graduated from Colorado State University and from the Leadership Iowa Program and has served as president of the Washington Economic Development Group.
He and his wife, Jan, have a daughter and son. His son recently became involved in the family farming operation.
